The Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center received a special award from the American Cancer Society for its longstanding support of Relay For Life.
The honor was presented during the 2025 Greater Waterbury Relay For Life event, held on June 14 at Crosby High School, to acknowledge Leever’s ongoing dedication to the cause and its commitment to supporting cancer patients and survivors in the community.
Deborah Parkinson, Interim Executive Director/Operations Director at Leever (pictured above, far left), accepted the award on behalf of the organization. The engraved plaque reads: “Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center – Thank You For Your Continued Dedication – June 14, 2025.”
“We’re deeply grateful for this recognition from the American Cancer Society,” said Deborah Parkinson. “Our partnership with Relay For Life is an extension of our daily work—to support patients and their families at every step of the cancer journey.”
Leever is proud to be part of this powerful celebration of community, resilience, and support for those affected by cancer.
