Cancer Treatment Services
The Leever Cancer Center offers cutting-edge cancer therapies including chemotherapy and radiation therapy including hypofractionation, IMRT/VMAT, SRBT/SRS, and HDR/MammoSite.
PET/CT
PET/CT (Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography) is an imaging technology used to more accurately diagnose and identify cancer, determine the extent of the disease, and prescribe and monitor treatment.

The Breast Center of Greater Waterbury offers comprehensive care for patients with breast disorders, including breast cancer-related information, education, and support, and a team dedicated to coordinating the best care and treatment options available.

Colorectal Cancer Prevention: What You Can Do NOW!

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month.

The Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center invites you to a special community program focusing on colorectal cancer presented by local expert Dr. John Zhang, MD, PhD, FACS, FASCRS, Program Director, Waterbury Hospital's National Accreditation for Rectal Cancer (NAPRC).

Topics to be discussed include:

How to reduce your risk of colorectal cancer
Genetics: what you need to know
Importance of screening and various screening options

Nutrition information will be offered by HLRCC Nutritionist Karen Sabbath, MS, RD, CSO
Our partners from the Waterbury Area Ostomy Group will be available to answer questions
